About
Emily Gaki is a Greek photographer and visual artist. Born and raised in Athens, Greece where she received her BA from the Athens University of Applied Sciences in the field of Photography and Audiovisual Arts. She has exhibited her work in numerous exhibitions and art fairs. Through the years she has focused her work on various terms and books in psychology such as The Evocative Object World, Object Relations Theory, Grandiosity as a symptom of Narcissistic personality disorder and now Mortality Salience in Terror Management Theory. The last years, she focuses on making a parallelism between psychology and religion with the use of still-life and self-portrait. For her, religion has always been a dysfunctional and at the same time impressive system of faith and worship. Currently based in Athens, Greece she works on personal and commissioned projects.
